Melbourne Victory sign Zoe McMeeken

Melbourne Victory is pleased to confirm the signing of Kiwi fullback Zoe McMeeken for the upcoming A-League Women’s season.

A New Zealand age group international that has already played 55 Ninja A-League matches at just 21 years of age, McMeeken joins Jeff Hopkins squad ahead of the exciting 2025/26 campaign.

While capable of operating on either flank, McMeeken primarily featured on the right last season as an attacking-minded fullback and has most notably played at two FIFA U20 Women’s World Cups for the Junior Football Ferns.

Making the switch to Australian soil, McMeeken is excited with her move to last season’s Grand Finalists.

“Melbourne Victory has always been a team I’ve admired and respected, so I am thankful for the opportunity to join the Club.

“Moving to Melbourne was a no-brainer for me once I heard of the opportunity. I was born in Melbourne, for me it’s a homecoming opportunity, I look forward to making the most of this move”.

Adding another highly talented young footballer to the roster with existing professional experience, Jeff Hopkins is confident that McMeeken can play an important role for the team.

“We are excited to bring Zoe to the Club and are happy to welcome her on board for the season ahead.

“She is a player we have admired for a while and feel can add even more quality to the squad in our pursuit to lift silverware in 2025/26.”

McMeeken joins new recruits Rhianna Pollicina, Chelsea Blissett, Sienna Saveska, Kennedy White and Taylor Ray for the upcoming A-League Women’s season, coupled with the re-signings of Laura Pickett, Ella O’Grady, Courtney Newbon, Nicki Flannery, Rachel Lowe, Holly Furphy, Alana Jančevski, Sofia Sakalis and the signings of five rising stars
