Alexander Menelaou and Thomas Jackson take out the top honours at last night’s Academy Victory Medal.
Last night the Victory Academy celebrated it’s first-ever player-of-the-year awards night after what was an outstanding season from every level of the Academy.
The U23s were promoted to NPL2, the U21s were crowned as champions while the U14s, U16s and U18s also won their respective league titles.
The U15s finished second despite only losing one game for the entire season.
The individual awards presented on the night have all been named in honour of some of the club’s most iconic players.
The Leigh Broxham Award is awarded to the Junior and Senior Academy player who has consistently and continuously best demonstrated the Victory values through the 2023 season.
The Archie Thompson Award is awarded to the best-attacking player in the Junior and Senior Academy.
The Mitch Langerak Award is presented to the keeper with the most clean sheets this season.
The Victory Medal is the Club’s highest individual honour, presented to the player of the season. The recipient of the Victory Medal follows in the footsteps of Club greats and has earned a place in our history.
