Miranda: ‘very important month’ ahead for Victory

Melbourne Victory vice-captain Roderick Miranda spoke to media ahead of Friday night’s clash with Macarthur at AAMI Park.

The defender pressed the importance of collecting three points to gain crucial momentum ahead of a busy period in March.

On Friday’s clash:

“It will be a very tough game.”

“Macarthur have shown this season that they have a very good team and can produce good results against very good teams at home or away.”

“We’re working very hard to regain the confidence we had at the beginning of the season.”

“We’re excited for the game and hopefully we can get three points.”

On the two-week break heading into Friday:

“It’s good for the guys who have played all the games and need to refresh the mind and the body.”

“We’re now reset and focussed to start again.”

“It’s going to be a tough month so we hope we can start the first game good and after that it just continues.”

On the busy March schedule:

“It will be a very important month because we need to pick up points.”

“We’re going to have the Champions League game which will be a difficult trip and then come back and play after a few days, so we need to be focussed on all the games to not lose points.”

“We’ll stay focussed to try get maximum points and put in the best performances we can.”
