The Melbourne Victory holiday program, delivered with the support of the Victorian Department of Education & Training, kicked off this week.
It will see the club host 75 secondary school students.
Throughout the five days of the program, teenagers from diverse backgrounds will be encouraged to learn and develop new skills via a broad range of activities and presentations, with each designed to promote teamwork and leadership, employability, communication and an active lifestyle.
The program provides the opportunity to engage with industry leaders from Melbourne Victory’s corporate partners including Metricon, Barry Plant and KFC, as well as members of the Club’s Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League squads, coaches and staff.
Highlights will include the completion of a MiniRoos Coaching Course and a Life Saving Victoria Beach Program thanks to Port Melbourne Life Saving Club.
A seven-a-side football tournament involving Victoria Police Soccer Club will test participants’ football skills, before they put their knowledge into practice alongside the Melbourne Victory staff in the Club’s Masterclass football program.
