Melbourne Victory completes its NPL2 West season with a trip to the St Albans Saints on Saturday.
Summary
Victory visits Churchill Reserve on the back of a two-match unbeaten run late in the season.
After beating the North Geelong Warriors in Round 26, Victory held the Moreland Zebras in its previous outing.
Ryan Lethlean came off the bench to score the equaliser for Victory, while the striker also had a great late chance to claim all three points.
Lethlean has scored twice at NPL2 level this season, having netted 10 for Victory’s title-winning under-20s.
The likes of Lethlean, William Wilson and Nicholas Hamakiotis – who have spent much of this season in the under-20s – were part of Victory’s squad in the draw with the Zebras.
While Victory is ninth on the table, St Albans holds a two-point lead at the top heading into the final game of the campaign.
