Dairy Australia has joined forces with Melbourne Victory to support the International game vs Liverpool on July 24, using the high profile event as the national launch platform for the dairy industry-s ‘Legendairy’ campaign.

To highlight the link, Melbourne Victory-s playing strip will feature the new Legendairy slogan and the very first television commercial for the campaign will be unveiled on the big screen at the MCG and televised during the game on 7Mate.

Legendairy celebrates the resilience, pride and tenacity of Australia-s dairy industry – characteristics shared by Melbourne Victory. It also showcases the great tasting dairy products produced in this country.

Melbourne Victory Managing Director Richard Wilson said the club was thrilled with Dairy Australia’s support of the club, in particular the support of the game against Liverpool and the positive focus on Australian dairy foods, which nourish millions of individuals not only nationally but globally.

“The excitement and buzz around this game at a sold-out Melbourne Cricket Ground is already huge and our players, coaches, staff and fans can’t wait to be apart of this historic occasion,” Mr Wilson said.

Dairy Australia Managing Director Ian Halliday said the July 24 match, to be broadcast around the world, would be the first time Australians would see the ‘Legendairy’ brand.

“Our support of Melbourne Victory is the perfect opportunity to provide Australians with a first glimpse of the campaign by highlighting milk-s role in sport and exercise recovery,” Mr Halliday said.

“We believe that Melbourne Victory epitomises everything that is great about Australian sport, showcasing teamwork, discipline, the desire to win and a commitment to excellence.

“We are proud that Victory players will wear the Legendairy Guernseys for the match and I hope they can raise a celebratory glass of milk post-game to aid muscle recovery – and celebrate a win.”

Melbourne Victory will play Liverpool on Wednesday, July 24 at the MCG, kick-off at 8pm. The match will be broadcast nationally on the Seven Network.
