Having been pipped at the post by Sydney on two occasions last season (Premiership and Grand Final), the boys had a much deserved 4 week break before they returned to the club last week, to commence preparations ahead of the Hyundai A-League 2010/11 season.
Over 100 dedicated Melbourne Victory fans braved cold and wet conditions at Olympic Park Stadium on Tuesday June 29, to watch the team being put through their paces ahead of the pre-season clash with Argentinean powerhouse Boca Juniors on July 16.Click here to see photos
Following the open training session, Melbourne Victory players signed autographs and posed for photos with their diehard of fans.
Regarded as one of the biggest clubs in the world, Boca Juniors will prove a real handful for a Melbourne Victory squad missing star striker Archie Thompson and midfielder Matthew Kemp.
But while the star duo will be sorely missed, playmaker Billy Celeski returns after spending much of last season on the sidelines after rupturing his ACL.
