Melbourne Victory’s strong pre-season form continued at CB Smith Reserve against Pascoe Vale on Tuesday night, recording a comprehensive 6-0 win.
First-half braces from Matt Spiranovic and Luis Nani set up the win.
First half…

Victory dominated proceedings in the opening stages with a near-full strength line-up as Nani‘s corner found the head of Matt Spiranovic for the opener.
Nani got his own name on the scoresheets minutes later with a beautiful curling shot from the edge of the box wowing the crowd in Fawkner.
Spiranovic again scored from a header, this time at the back post, as Victory held a commanding 3-0 lead after 22 minutes.
Rai Marchan was the architect behind Nani‘s second goal, delivering a perfect cross in general play to the Portugese star’s waiting head.

Ben Folami replaced Nani after the main break and filled his boots in style, as the young winger cut in on his left and drilled a ball into the bottom right corner to extend the lead to 5-0.
Victory opted to field a younger XI in the final half hour of the match which led to an opportunistic goal from Tommaso Minutoli following a defensive error.
