21 female students from Sirius College are now on their way to becoming Football Federation Victoria referees after taking part in Melbourne Victory’s ‘Welcome to Football’ program.
With support from the Victorian State Government, the ‘Welcome to Football’ program engages people from diverse backgrounds through football and encourages greater participation in our sport.
This week, ‘Welcome to Football’ provided an opportunity for students to undertake referee training with Football Federation Victoria.
Recognising the importance of changing our game to improve outcomes for women and girls in football, Melbourne Victory, proudly supported by WorkSafe Victoria, was delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to the students.
We congratulate Sirius College and the students for taking part in this initiative and thank the Victorian State Government and Football Federation Victoria for their support.
