Team News: Round 5 (M) / Round 3 (W)

Melbourne Victory has named its squads for Round 5 Men’s and Round 3 Women’s action this weekend.

A huge Melbourne Derby clash awaits on Saturday night in the Isuzu UTE A-league.

Rai Marchan will make his return after a one-game suspension for his red card incident against Perth. Jason Davidson will miss with his own one-game suspension after receiving a second yellow card in last week’s 2-1 win in Adelaide.

Star winger Chris Ikonomidis has impressed at training and is a possible inclusion.

Brendan Hamill is on track with his recovery but may not feature this week. Matt Acton is also closing in on a return but won’t be a part of the squad.

In the Liberty A-League, Victory are eyeing their third straight win to open the season when they travel to Brisbane to face the Roar on Saturday afternoon.

US star Lynn Williams is a chance to start following her late-game heroics coming off the bench last week.

Amy Jackson will miss after her red card in the Derby win.
