Melbourne Victory has confirmed that Terry Antonis will depart the club and move to K-League side Suwon Bluewings after the clubs agreed to terms on the midfielder’s transfer.
Arriving at Victory in early 2018, Antonis made an immediate impact within the club – and will be remembered for scoring the winning goal in the dramatic 2017/18 Semi-Final against Sydney FC in the 117th minute, before playing in the club’s fourth championship a week later.
Commenting on the transfer, Melbourne Victory GM Football Operations, Paul Trimboli, thanked Terry for his contributions.
“Terry accomplished a lot in his time with us, but there is no doubt he will be remembered for a long time by our members and fans for that goal in the Semi-Final against Sydney FC and the championship that followed,” said Trimboli.
“This is an opportunity that Terry wanted to pursue, and we thank him for his contributions to our success and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
Antonis finishes his time at Victory with 53 appearances and five goals across all competitions.
