This week at Victory: Derby replay, Glory at home and Essendon in the NPL

Melbourne Victory’s Men returned to action with a bang away to Wellington to set up a huge Derby replay on Wednesday night, before they take on the Glory on Sunday at AAMI Park.

The Club’s A-League Women secured a Finals spot late in the last round of the season, as the Academy continue their red hot start to the 2023 season.

A-League Men

The Victory have the chance to make it four wins in a row with another two games to come this week.

Wins at home against the Central Coast and away in Wellington in Rounds 21 and 22 have been massively important for Victory’s confidence, who now enter Wednesday evening’s Derby replay against City with momentum.

The run of three games in seven days will wrap up when the Glory visit AAMI Park for Sunday’s Community Round.

A-League Women

A week of Semi Final preparation is on the cards for Victory’s Women, who secured their place in the 2023 Liberty A-League Semi Finals.

Bookmark Saturday April 15, when the reigning Champions charge towards a historic three-peat, taking on Melbourne City in a Derby Semi Final at Casey Fields, kicking-off from 3:00pm.


The Club’s U23 NPL side made it three wins from three to begin 2023, with a 2-1 win at home against Ballarat City at home in Epping on Sunday.

Focus has now shifted to this Saturday’s away trip to Essendon Royals, where the Victory will be looking to continue their strong start at Cross Keys Reserve, kicking off at 3:00pm AEDT.
