Lawrence Thomas set a club record during Melbourne Victory’s 4-0 win over the Newcastle Jets in the Hyundai A-League on Sunday.
Thomas kept his 28th Hyundai A-League clean sheet for Victory, surpassing Michael Theo’s mark of 27.
The 2018 Joe Marston Medallist, a two-time championship winner with the club, was rarely tested in Victory’s success at AAMI Park.

The shot-stopper has five clean sheets – a league-high – in 12 league matches this season.
Victory’s win over Newcastle moved it into seventh on the table as it backed up its Christmas Derby success.
