Melbourne Victory would like to provide an update on goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas.
Thomas was stretchered off the field in the 56th minute of Saturday’s match against Newcastle Jets following a head clash with Andrew Nabbout.
As a precaution, he was taken from McDonald Jones Stadium to hospital to be monitored by medical professionals and was subsequently cleared of any serious injury.
Thomas was fit enough to travel back to Melbourne with the rest of the squad on Sunday and will continue to be monitored in the coming days.
