We head into the Medical Room with Victor Sports, providing an update on Lydia Williams, Miranda Templeman and Jessika Nash.
Goalkeeper Lydia Williams missed Friday’s clash with Perth Glory after picking up an ankle injury during the loss to Western United the week before. While she was cleared of any serious injury, Williams’ return will be a day-to-day proposition.
Williams’ deputy, Miranda Templeman, was injured in the warm-up in the match against Western Sydney and scans have confirmed that she had a patella subluxation. The injury will require surgery and need a period of rehabilitation that will see the goalkeeper miss an extended period.
Goalkeepers Courtney Newbon and Geo Candy have been signed on an injury replacement basis.
Defender Jessika Nash also missed the clash with Perth after picking up a knee injury against Western United. Her progress will continue to be monitored.
