Victory Community Ambassadors receive FV honours

Melbourne Victory Community Ambassador Andrew Young and the Melbourne Chinese Soccer Association (MCSA) have been named the 2022 Football Victoria Partner Organisation of the Year.

MCSA Secretary Young and his incredible crew were presented with the honour at the Football Victoria Community in Business Lunch.

The MCSA coordinates the annual U-NITE Cup – of which Melbourne Victory are major partners and supporters of – to bring together local football teams representing a range of cultural backgrounds every year.

It’s the second consecutive year a Melbourne Victory Community Ambassador has taken out the award after Ron Sinclair and the Victoria Police Soccer Club were recognised with the 2021 honour.

Sinclair and the VPSC continue to do amazing work in the community, including events involving Pride Cup, all-abilities footballers and our U-NITE Multicultural Round.

The MCSA works tirelessly to provide accessible football opportunities across Melbourne for a truly multicultural participant base to be active, make new friends and feel connected.

With over 80 unique cultures represented amongst their member base, the MCSA not only welcomes all Australians, it actively advocates and provides opportunities for all.

Melbourne Victory sends its congratulations to Andrew and the MCSA as well as Ron and the VPSC for their achievements.
