Melbourne Victory duo Natasha Dowie and Christine Nairn have been included in the inaugural PFA W-League Team of the Season.
Star striker Dowie scored nine goals in 12 games this season – a new club record – while captain Nairn added two goals and three assists.
Dowie and Nairn were two of three players who played every minute of every game for Victory in the Westfield W-League 2016/17 season.
Headlined by a host of world-class players with over 600 international caps between them, the 2016/17 PFA W-League Team of the Season, as chosen by the players, is:

PFA president Alex Wilkinson said the team highlighted the outstanding calibre of players in the Westfield W-League.
“On behalf of the PFA executive, I would like to congratulate all those selected in the inaugural PFA Jetts W-League Team of the Season, and for their contribution to what has been another highly impressive campaign for the competition on the pitch,” said Wilkinson.
“The quality of play has once again risen and the league continues to attract some of world’s best players.
“There is no reason why we can’t one day have the best women’s competition in the world.”
