On Thursday, October 6, between 1.00pm and 3.00pm Melbourne Victory are hitting the streets ahead of their first game of the 2011/12 Hyundai A-League season against Sydney FC on Saturday night.
The club is hosting a football tournament of a different kind on the Southbank Spillway along the Yarra River. The competition is based on a concept called ‘Panna football-, and is played in a 5m x 5m cage with goals at either end, with the ultimate aim, to ‘Panna- or ‘nutmeg- your opponent, which wins the game outright.
If you think you have got the skills to be crowned Melbourne Victory-s Panna Cage champion, or just fancy challenging your mates to a one-on-one dual, get down to Southbank on Thursday at 1:00pm and you could win tickets to the blockbuster match against Sydney FC, as well as other great prizes.
Selected Melbourne Victory players will be in attendance, so this is an event not to be missed!
