Melbourne Victory has continued its unbeaten start to the E-League season, defeating Brisbane Roar in a top of the table clash on Thursday night.
A blistering first leg by Mo on XBOX and a solid performance across both matches by Sarge on PlayStation ensured Victory would remain in first place following the completion of Round 4.
Mo scored his first goal of the match within 10 seconds of real time, and his first four within 20 minutes of game time to eventually record a 7-1 win.
It was his second largest win of the season so far, after a 10-1 victory over Newcastle in Round 2.
Meanwhile on PlayStation, Sarge missed an early penalty but would still go on to triumph 1-0.
With the three points all but assured, Victory started the second leg slowly, and there were times Brisbane Roar may have felt they had a comeback on the cards.
Sarge and his opponent traded blows early before eventually recording a 3-3 draw, while Mo lost his second match of the season courtesy of a late Roar winner. The final result; 2-3.
It mattered little however, as Victory secured a 13-7 win on aggregate, and its fourth win in a row.
The E-League will take a week off next Thursday and will return on the 28th March, where Melbourne Victory will face Perth Glory.
