Two Melbourne Victory players have been chosen to represent Australia at the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
Sienna Calvanese and Leyla Hussein are part of Michael Cooper’s 21-strong group heading to Morocco next month.
Hussein has been knocking on the first-team door for two seasons and was a key figure in the Club’s inaugural NPLW season, scoring Victory’s first goal in the competition, whilst Calvanese has recently signed for the Club ahead of the 2027 Senol NPLW Victoria.
The Young Matildas’ maiden appearance at the tournament, secured during this year’s AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup, sees them in Group F alongside Chile, Spain and Mexico.
Good luck, Sienna and Leyla!
