Victory Senior Academy Update

Melbourne Victory confirms that Boris Seroshtan will lead the Club as Senior NPL Coach for its historic 2025 National Premier League campaign, which kicks off next month at the Home of The Matildas.

Victory is the first A-League club to earn promotion to the NPL since its inception, after winning the 2024 VPL1 Championship.

Seroshtan joins Victory from his most recent role as Technical Director of Football Victoria and his role with the Club will incorporate match day coaching and overall technical management of the Senior NPL program.

“We are pleased to welcome Boris to Melbourne Victory, as a vastly experienced Pro-Licensed coach who has devoted his life in football to helping generations of talented young players develop in a positive environment – which is the most important component of his role with us,” said Director of Football, John Didulica.

Seroshtan will work closely with Head of Academy, Andrew Kentepozidis, who returns to the Academy after spending the 2023/24 season overseeing football operations for the A-League Men’s team.

“As a part of his development, Andrew was given a great opportunity to work closely with our A-League Men’s team last season to gain a deeper understanding of the standards that are set throughout our elite program and the expectations on emerging players,” Didulica said.

“Andrew’s partnership with Boris will ensure players within the Victory program continue to prosper. Last season we saw our teams achieve clear results with a clean sweep of each divisional championship across the NPL. This not only ensured our best performers were integrated into the A-League Men’s team but also resulted in integration of our Academy players into Australia’s National Teams.”

Melbourne Victory is also pleased to confirm it will host nine of its NPL home matches at the Home of The Matildas, with all Victory members granted free entry to those NPL Senior fixtures. Further, the Victory U23 Academy team will play as the curtain raiser to each NPL match at the Home of The Matildas, providing our members and fans with a great opportunity to follow our pathway talent and get behind our Academy teams.

“To join our A-League Women’s team out at the Home of The Matildas is a great boost for our NPL players and our members. The HoTM offers a wonderful pitch for the team and ideal amenities for the increasing numbers of members who are taking an interest in our NPL team,” said Didulica.

“The Victorian NPL is the best State competition in the country, so to give our young players and our members the chance to watch high quality football against some wonderful clubs at a great facility adds another positive dimension to our Club.”

Seroshtan will lead the NPL team for the first time in the Round 1 clash against Altona Magic on February 10, kicking off at 8:30pm at HoTM, with our U23 team kicking off at 6:30pm on the same night.
