Melbourne Victory is delighted to announce the signing of Harry Shillington.
The 21-year-old Australian defender has agreed terms on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season to join A-League Men’s Head Coach Giovanni Savarese’s senior playing squad.
The Melburnian made 24 senior appearances at the Club’s cross-town rivals, recording game time in both the A-League and the Asian Champions League Elite, before signing with Victory.
Since his competitive debut in a 2023 Australia Cup tie, the former Young Socceroo has shown himself to be capable of playing in positions across the backline.
Melbourne Victory Director of Football, John Didulica, commented:
“Harry is a local player that the Club has tracked for some time, admiring his tenacity and athleticism, as well as his maturity beyond his years, so it is pleasing that he will now be on our side, wearing our colours.
“The new season will see us compete on three fronts, with the A-League, Australia Cup and ACL2, so a player with Harry’s physicality, versatility and character is a great addition.”
Shillington said:
“I am ecstatic to sign for the Club; I cannot wait to get started for the new season.
“It is a huge club, and I am ready to give everything for the fans, for the team and for the badge.”
Welcome to Victory, Harry!
Shillington’s signing follows Mikey Ghossaini, William Kengni, Jack Mihailidis and Malik Olukhale all signing their first A-League contracts, whilst Jack Warshawsky and Charles Nduka have signed contract extensions at the Club.
