The Age Junior Development Clinics continued on Wednesday at Green Gully Soccer Club, with more than 100 junior players taking to the pitch with selected Melbourne Victory players.

Victory stars Ney Fabiano, Carlos Hernandez, Jose Luis Lopez and Tom Pondeljak were welcomed by the excited participants, and joined in a number of football drills.

Each participant received a Victory showbag, as well as autographs and photos with the Victory players.

“It was great to see Melbourne Victory giving back to the kids, the players were so down to earth and it is great for the kids to be able to talk to and interact so closely with their heroes,” parent Ana Stevanja said.

“The experience was fun, entertaining and exciting. My son Marko has been a goalkeeper for the past few years, but after completing the skills with Ney Fabiano, he now wants to be playing on the field.”

Lawrence Baker, another enthusiastic parent said: “The players were outstanding in the way they allowed the kids time, gave them signatures and made both the kids and parents feel special.

Victory wishes to acknowledge the Green Gully Soccer Club for its generous efforts in hosting the clinic and Football Federation Victoria for providing the coaches.
