Melbourne Victory will face City in a blockbuster Liberty A-League Preliminary Final at AAMI Park on Sunday 20 March.
Victory booked a place in the clash thanks to a hard-fought 2-1 win over Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium.
While Lia Privitelli’s opener was cancelled out by Nanako Sasaki, Melina Ayres scored a 57th-minute winner to send Victory through.
Victory will meet City in a Derby clash for a place in the Grand Final against Sydney FC.
It will mark the first ever Melbourne Derby meeting in a Liberty A-League Finals Series.
The winner will face Sydney FC at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Sunday, March 27.
