Rachel Lowe is confident that Melbourne Victory will not die wondering as their season’s future is decided.
The Girls in Blue travel to Melbourne City on Saturday, May 9, kick-off 2pm AEST, for Leg 2 of their Ninja A-League Finals Series Semi-Final.
At ctrl:cyber Pitch, Victory need to overturn a first-leg deficit if they are to progress to a second Grand Final in as many seasons.
Speaking during her pre-match press conference, Lowe explained how the team will be leaving nothing to chance in Cranbourne.
“We have to go and win the game, that’s just the reality. I think we’ve just tweaked a few things, and it’ll, hopefully, help us with sending numbers forward because we need to score goals.
“I think our mentality going into the game is to take it to them from the start. We have a great bench, and we’ve got the depth that we can bring on if we need in different scenarios. From the first whistle, we’re going to be going at the game like it is our grand final, because we don’t want our season to end.”

The midfielder, who won the 2026 Victory Medal on Monday night, went on to assess City and how they can be got at this weekend.
“They obviously are really dominant with the ball, and after the game, we came together as a group and said, ‘We need to be a lot braver in terms of going forward, and we’ve got nothing to lose now.’
“We need to take the game by the scruff of the neck.”
