Melbourne Victory’s Harry Sawyer dialled into 3AW’s Sports Today on Tuesday night.
The striker has made a sharp start to life at the Club, netting in Hahn Australia Cup ties against Western Sydney Wanderers and APIA Leichhardt.
His strike in the latter was the match’s only goal, and has set up a Big Blue Semi-Final clash away to Sydney FC on Wednesday, September 9, kick-off 7:30pm AEST, at Jubilee Stadium.
Speaking to 3AW, Sawyer discussed the impact of another off-season recruit, and his impressions of the playing group’s quality.
“I would say a shoutout to my roommate Tom Lockyer, one of the newer players that has come in, a centre-back; he has impressed me a lot through his leadership and presence.
“We have got a few attacking livewires. To be honest, there is a lot of quality across the board; training has been a very high standard.”
