Postecoglou said the clash with Western Sydney Wanderers and a select Tasmanian XI would provide a great opportunity for players to improve their match fitness with the start of the Hyundai A-League fast approaching.

Melbourne Victory will take on a select Tasmanian XI from 12pm at Twin Ovals, Kingston on Sunday, September 29, followed by the pre-season clash with the reigning A-League premiers, Western Sydney Wanderers at 2:30pm.
