“It was a good performance and there are a lot of positives to come out of the game,” Broxham said.
“They sat deep and made it hard for us and we still managed to create a lot of chances and a lot of shots on goal.
“It was good for our fans here to get a win and there was a lot of positive football… it could have been more than two (goals) in the end.”
Melbourne Victory’s focus now turns to the Melbourne Derby next Saturday, and Broxham said he and his teammates were looking forward to another blockbuster.
“Come derby time, they (Heart) are always up for the game and we will be as well, it will be no bigger test for us than to back up the game and get a result in a derby which is always difficult.”
