Melbourne Victory Coach Kevin Muscat says he’s looking forward to being part of the FFA Cup, as his side travels to Perth for Wednesday night’s game.
Muscat, who himself has played in England’s FA Cup, said the arrival of the Cup tournament in Australia was a great bonus for Australian football.

When asked if the recent defeat of Western Sydney Wanderers in the Round of 32 had changed his thinking on the competition, Muscat said he would pick the best squad available, just as he had in last season’s AFC Champions League campaign.
“The teams that you play in this tournament can’t be underestimated,” he said.
“There’s no second chances, so we’ll go across to Perth, buoyant to be playing in a competition we want to go into and win.”
Muscat said skipper Mark Milligan would make the trip to Perth, but was likely to start on the bench given his reecnt workload, which included a trip to Brazil with the Socceroos for the FIFA World Cup.
“We won’t be taking any risks and that’s not disrespecting the competition, it’s respecting players’ bodies,” he said.
Melbourne Victory’s Round of 32 clash against Bayswater City will be live streamed on www.MelbourneVictory.com.au from 9:30pm AEST on Wednesday night.
