Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat says Saturday’s Melbourne Derby is set to be an entertaining one, with both teams in a good run of form.
Press play on the video below to hear Kevin Muscat’s thoughts on this weekend’s Derby as well as his thoughts on Wednesday night’s AFC Champions League clash in China.
Muscat said he was yet to decide on his starting XI for the Derby, having flown in to Melbourne late on Thursday night from China.
“At this point in time we-ve got to reassess the squad tomorrow (Saturday) morning and get another check from the medical team,” Muscat said after a light training session on Gosch’s Paddock.
Brazilian midfielder Gui Finkler is set to make another start, having played in every match so far this season, while Socceroo Tom Rogic is another who Muscat will make a decision on before the game.
“Gui stayed here so he-ll come back into the team. With Tom we-ll wait and see how he reacts tomorrow but from all indications this morning is that he wants to make himself available.
“It-s a big game for us, they all are but tomorrow night-s derby is something special.”
