Mitch Nichols says he is looking forward to lining up against his old side, Brisbane Roar, this Friday night.
Nichols, who joined Melbourne Victory from Roar in pre-season, said some of his old teammates had already been in contact ahead of the Etihad Stadium clash.
“It’s going to be a bit of fun, I’ve already copped a few text messages so I’m really looking forward to it,” Nichols said.

“Brisbane is going to come out and play which will be good for us and I think it is going to be really exciting for the fans.”
With Roar striker Besart Berisha already ruled out through injury, Nichols said Brisbane would still have plenty of goalscoring options in their side.
“Henrique will probably step in for him and he’s a quality player so they are not really going to miss much,” he said.
“They look good, they are going to be up for it and if we play the way we can, I think it’s going to be a good game.”
Nichols said he had been happy with his first two performances in Victory colours so far.
“I think it’s been a good two games, but there’s a long way to go. I think I’ve played my part for the team and can add a bit more, but I think if we keep working the way we have, it’s going to be a good season.”
