Melbourne Victory is searching for greater consistency as it looks to extend its unbeaten run in the Foxtel Y-League when it visits Adelaide United.
A fine comeback saw Victory salvage a 3-3 draw against Brisbane Roar last time out, recovering from 3-0 down.
That stretched its unbeaten run to three matches after wins over Adelaide and Perth Glory preceded that result.
Victory head coach Gareth Naven hopes his team can make a faster start at Marden Sports Complex on Saturday.
“The boys had good application, good attitude in the second half (against Brisbane) and I think we could’ve definitely won the game, that’s for sure,” he said.
“We probably need to start off a little bit quicker, like we performed in the second half.
“If the boys can manage some good consistency, I think they’ll get their rewards.”
Victory edged Adelaide 1-0 when the teams last met in Round 4 in December.
With his late equaliser against Brisbane, Nicholas Sette, 17, joined Nuh Sehavdic, 17, and Pierce Waring, 19, on two goals this Foxtel Y-League campaign.
