Melbourne Victory continues its Foxtel Y-League campaign with a trip to Brisbane to face the Roar on Sunday.
Summary
Victory was unable to make it back-to-back wins after suffering a 2-0 loss to Perth Glory in Round 6.
It has another away clash this week, making the trip to Lions Stadium to face Conference A leader Brisbane.
Victory has been adapting to a new formation this season, making the switch to a 4-1-3-2 to resemble its Hyundai A-League side.
Yazid Said, 19, has scored four goals in five games this campaign to be equal top of the goalscoring charts in the Foxtel Y-League.
Victory has three games remaining in the regular season, with two of those against Brisbane.
The teams last met during the 2017/18 campaign, when Victory came from behind to earn a 3-3 draw in January.
Head coach Gareth Naven’s pre-match thoughts
“We’re playing top-of-the-table Brisbane, we want to make sure we’re getting better every time in how we perform. It’s on us to make sure we do it during the week in training and our boys perform in conditions that are usually hot and uncomfortable and we’ve got to be able to embrace the discomfort. The challenge for our group is to be happy with the discomfort and we just want to be sure that we are thinking about those performance principles we need to do really, really well.”
