Ever wondered what it’s like to work at Melbourne Victory? We’re on the hunt for some of our biggest junior fans to take part in our Junior Fan Day, becoming junior versions of some of our key Victory staff!

What’s the event?

We’re dedicating our Round 25 match against Wellington Phoenix on Sunday, April 2 to our members. As part of this special match, we’re inviting junior Melbourne Victory members aged between 7 and 12 to be part of the inner sanctum, walking in our shoes as mini-staff for the day.

What are the roles?

We’re looking for juniors to help us fill the following roles:

Mini Head Coach
Our Mini Head Coach is responsible for getting the very best out of our playing squad. In the lead-up to the game, you’ll oversee our kit man setting up the change room, greet our players for the team meeting and complete match paperwork for the match commissioner. During warm-up, you’ll watch the players with Kevin Muscat and take part in a pre-match interview. You’ll walk up the race with Kevin, shake hands with the opposition coaches and keep a close eye on all the action during the game. After the match, be ready for some hard-hitting questions from journalists at the press conference.

Mini MC/Ground Announcer
Our MC keeps everyone at the ground informed about what’s happening on a match day. You’ll stand alongside our MC Stefan to write a script and read it out to the crowd, along with team names, added time and substitute announcements. You’ll visit Victory Village for a live cross, keep an eye on the media box, assist with our post-match Man of the Match interview and help our media manager run the press conference.

Mini Referee
Referees have a vital role on match days – the game won’t run without our officials! You’ll help to write and submit the starting lists and referee’s report. You’ll check all equipment in the race, take part in the warm-up and make sure Melbourne Victory’s kit man has extra shirts ready for each player if needed. During the game, you’ll need to keep a close eye on things, assisting the referee’s assessor as required.

Mini Corporate MC
You’ll gain valuable insights from Melbourne Victory CEO Ian Robson as you shadow him on match day. You’ll arrive early to make sure the function room is set up, ready for hundreds of guests to arrive for the Chairman’s Function. Put on your most dazzling smile as you greet guests as they arrive. You’ll head up to the podium with Ian to address the room and assist with interviewing our guest speaker. Make sure you dig deep as you draw the winners of the raffle before watching the game from some of the best seats in the house.

How do I enter?

This opportunity is exclusively for Melbourne Victory junior members, aged between 7 and 12.

To enter, please submit a 30-second video explaining why you would be perfect for your favourite role from the options above. The child with the best response to their preferred role will be selected.
