Denis Genreau
10 Midfielder
Joining Melbourne Victory on a three-year deal ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, Denis Genreau is a well-rounded central midfielder.
While born in Paris, Genreau grew up in Melbourne and made his A-League debut for Melbourne City during the 2016/17 season.
Spending time on loan at Eredivisie side PEC Zwolle, Genreau went on to sign for Macarthur FC in 2020 and quickly established himself as one of the top midfielders in the country, winning the Macarthur Medal and earning a permanent move to Toulouse FC.
During the 2021 off-season, Genreau would have the honour of representing Australia at the Tokyo Olympics, starting in all three of the Olyroos’ group games.
Genreau would go on to help Toulouse earn promotion back into Ligue 1 in his first season and would lift the Coupe de France in the following season.
Receiving the opportunity to face Liverpool FC at the world-renowned Anfield in the UEFA Europa League, Genreau would depart Toulouse and play for Spanish team Deportivo La Coruña for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
Returning back home to sign for Victory in September 2025, the 27-year-old enjoyed a strong season in the middle of the park for the Boys in Blue.
