Emily Gielnik is an Australian professional soccer forward for Melbourne Victory and the Australia women’s national team. Hailing from Melbourne, Gielnik began her career with Brisbane Roar, becoming a key player and earning recognition as a “super sub” for her late-game heroics. She enjoyed a successful stint with the Roar, winning multiple W-League titles.

Gielnik’s career has spanned several continents. She played for Liverpool LFC, Ottawa Fury, Urawa Red Diamonds, Avaldsnes IL, Bayern Munich, Vittsjö GIK, and Aston Villa. She returned to Melbourne Victory in 2023.

On the international stage, Gielnik made her debut for the Matildas in 2012 and has since participated in major tournaments, including the 2016 Olympics, the 2017 Tournament of Nations, and the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She was also part of the squad for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
