Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce the signing of attacker Reno Piscopo for the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
The 26-year-old Melbourne native joins the Club on a two-year deal, signing on until the end of the 2025/26 A-League Men’s season from the Newcastle Jets.
The versatile attacker began his professional career in Italy through the Academy systems of Inter Milan and Torino before joining Serie C side Renate where he spent two seasons.
Piscopo joined the Wellington Phoenix after his stint in Italy, making 59 appearances and scoring eight goals for the Nix before returning to Australia with the Jets.
Melbourne Victory A-League Men’s Coach Patrick Kisnorbo said Piscopo’s addition will add a dynamic flair to Victory’s attack.
“We’re incredibly pleased to have a player like Reno at Melbourne Victory,” Kisnorbo said.
“A Melbournian at his roots, Reno is a versatile, attacking player who we believe with his attitude and work rate will add an exciting, creative element to our forward third.
“We believe Reno will thrive at Melbourne Victory and we’re looking forward to what he will produce at AAMI Park this season.”
Piscopo was also thrilled to be returning to his hometown to ply his trade at Victory.
“It’s exciting to be back home in Melbourne and joining a Club like Melbourne Victory,” Piscopo said.
“I’m looking forward to being a part of the squad and doing everything I can to help the team win silverware this season.
“I know what the Club means to its fans and how important it is in our state and I’m looking forward to delivering for them this season.”
Piscopo joins Josh Rawlins and Jing Reec as the Club’s latest additions for the 2024/25 A-League Men’s season as the side returns to pre-season training on Wednesday 10 July.
