Academy Preview: Seniors host Doveton, Juniors at home

NPL3 

Melbourne Victory’s NPL3 side will be on the hunt for another three points at home on Sunday as they face Doveton at Epping Stadium.

Joe Palatsides’ side will look to continue their impressive form in the competition against sixth placed Doveton who themselves are coming off three straight wins.

Victory were resounding in their 4-0 win over Beaumaris last week with Adem Duratovic, Noah Spaseski, Tim Atherinos and Kasey Bos finding the back of the net in the result at Beaumaris Reserve.

Doveton’s last three weeks has seen them pick up a perfect nine points including impressive wins against promotion aspirants North Sunshine and Nunawading.

Joshua Frame is their leading goal scorer with six goals so far this campaign and will be their player to watch heading into the contest.

The last time the teams met, it was Atherinos and Spaseski who were on the scoresheet in the 2-0 win at Waratah Reserve.

The Under 20’s will be looking to maintain their eight-point buffer at the top of the table in the curtain raiser.

Victory face Doveton on Sunday at Epping Stadium, kick-off 3.00pm Under 20’s 12.15pm.

The Afghan Women’s Team go from strength to strength in the State League 3 East competition after a comprehensive 12-0 win over Yarra Jets last week.

The side faces Manningham United Blues on Friday night at Petty’s Reserve in Templestowe, kick-off 7.00pm
