Melbourne Victory winger Ben Folami spoke to media on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday night’s clash in Perth with the Glory.
The 22-year-old returned from his maiden national team duties in time to come off the bench in the win against Adelaide on Saturday night.
Folami on his fitness…
“I pulled up fine. All the travel does take it out of you a bit but I’m definitely ready to start any game The Boss needs me to start in. I’m good to go.”
On his Socceroos duties…
“It was amazing. It’s good to be with such top quality players from all over the world.”
“It was a really good experience and hopefully the first of many.”
“It was good to be there with someone I know so well (Nick D’Agostino). He deserved to be there, his form has been fantastic and he’s a player I enjoy playing with because our link-up is getting better and better.”
On our 3-0 loss to Perth Glory earlier this season…
“They showed up to us that day, so there’s definitely a reason for us to go to their home deck and return the favour.”
“It was a turning point in our season to some degree. The Boss wanted us to make sure we react to any adversities and since that point we’ve definitely gotten better at that.”
“It was a good lesson for our group and one we’ve taken on board really well.”
