“I’m very happy.” | Bruno Fornaroli on his second season with the Club.

“For me, the most important thing is I feel happy. I’m very happy.”

Coming into his second season with the Club, forward Bruno Fornaroli says that he not only feels great physically but also mentally.

“I’m feeling great physically and I’m motivated to have a great year and to be successful with this Club,” the striker explained.

“But for me, the most important thing is I feel happy. I’m very happy.”

Joining the Club in October 2022 as an injury replacement just weeks into the 2022/23 season, the Uruguyuan-born Australian has now enjoyed a full pre-season with the team.

“I didn’t have the chance to do it last season because I came late,” he said.

“It was a long preseason, a lot of hard work, but at the same time, I’m enjoying being around the boys.

“I feel more excited because I know all the boys now and I know the Club.”

The 36-year-old’s experience is set to also play a pivotal role, particularly with the young talent in the squad.

“We have a lot of young players this year and they have a lot of quality to bring to the team,” Bruno said.

“So we have to protect them and help them in every way that we can.

“I think going to Perth and playing a couple of games there, being together for a couple of days, that helped create that strong group that we need and I know that they will be so important for us this year.”

Looking ahead to the season, the Socceroo said there’s only one thing on his mind, and that’s to win.

“We are Melbourne Victory, so we need to think big, we need to think our goal is to win everything.”
