Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce the re-signing of defender Jason Geria for the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Geria has signed on for a further two seasons and now enters his tenth season at Melbourne Victory.
The 31-year-old has made 177 A-League Men’s appearances for the Club, totalling 70 appearances in his latest stint in Melbourne and sits third in the all-time appearance list for the Club behind Archie Thompson and Leigh Broxham.
Melbourne Victory Director of Football John Didulica said Geria will continue to be an important asset to the Club.
“Jason is part of the fabric of Melbourne Victory and we are delighted he has re-committed to us for a further two seasons,” Didulica said.
“As a player, Jason has been an incredible servant of Melbourne Victory, playing with such aggression and commitment week-in, week-out – setting the benchmark for all players across the Club.
“Jason is now emerging as an important leader at Melbourne Victory so to be able to retain him ensures that all players who enter the dressing room understand what it means to represent this Club.”
Geria was also thrilled to be back at AAMI Park next season.
“I’m excited to be back at Victory for my tenth season,” Geria said.
“This Club has been a big part of my life and my career and Melbourne Victory feels like home to me.
“The support of the Club but importantly, the fans throughout my journey has been priceless and I can’t wait to continue to deliver for them on the pitch.”
Geria joins the new signings of Josh Rawlins, Jing Reec, Reno Piscopo and Jack Duncan as the side returns to pre-season training on Wednesday 10 July.
