Melbourne Victory re-signs Leigh Broxham

Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce the re-signing of Leigh Broxham for the 2023/24 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

The Club legend has signed on for a further year at Melbourne Victory, entering a record 18th season at Victory with the A-League games record holder continuing his decorated career.

With 381 A-League games and over 400 competitive appearances to his name, Broxham played 20 matches in 2022/23, playing across defence and in the midfield last season.

Melbourne Victory Director of Football, John Didulica is pleased that Broxham continues to have the passion to continue with the club.

“Leigh is an important part of the fabric of our club,” Didulica said.

“His attitude and professionalism on and off the park is a model for all players at Melbourne Victory and his consistent drive for excellence means he is an integral member of our group,” said Didulica.

“His versatility has become an important part of our squad and we’re pleased to have him at the Club heading into next season.”

Broxham was also pleased to continue his time at Victory.

“I’m excited to be at Melbourne Victory for another season and can’t wait to get stuck into the upcoming season,” Broxham said.

“Melbourne Victory is my first and only professional Club and is a place that means a lot to me. To continue my time here and help the team achieve big things is something that continues to drive me and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead.”

Broxham joins the re-signing of Roderick Miranda and the elevation of Franco Lino, Jordi Valadon and Joshua Inserra to the senior squad as well as the new signings of Daniel Arzani, Zinedine Machach and Adama Traore as the squad continues to prepare for the 2023/24 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
