Melbourne Victory re-signs Zinedine Machach

Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce that French midfielder, Zinedine Machach has re-signed with the Club for a further two seasons.

The 28-year-old has made 22 A-League Men’s appearances during the current campaign, scoring six goals and recording three assists in his debut season at Victory.

Machach has become a fan-favourite with the Victory faithful, making a name for himself in the league with his power and strength on the ball coupled with his finishing prowess.

Melbourne Victory Director of Football, John Didulica said he was excited to see ‘Zizou’ extend his time at the Club

“We’re thrilled to be able to have Zinedine locked in for another two seasons at Melbourne Victory,” Didulica said.

“Zizou’s approach to his time in Australia has been exemplary from the time he arrived at the Club and has shown on the pitch that he is a game-winning player.

“His contribution on and off the pitch has seen him earn this extension at the Club and we’re looking forward to what he can achieve over the next couple of seasons.”

Machach was also delighted to be continuing his journey at Victory.

“I have enjoyed my time in Australia and I’m excited to be continuing my adventure at Melbourne Victory,” Machach said.

“The Club has brought out some of the best in me as a footballer and as a person and the environment at Victory is one that drives me every day.

“The fans have been incredible in Melbourne. They have shown me the love and support coming from so far away and I want to make sure I deliver for them over the next period.”
