Melbourne Victory signs Tomi Juric

Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce the signing of forward Tomi Juric for the 2022/23 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

The 30-year-old joins the Club for the 2022/23 campaign, making the move from Macarthur FC where he spent the 2021/22 season.

The striker has been capped 41 times for the Socceroos and was part of the Asian Cup winning squad in 2015 and the 2018 World Cup.

Juric will rekindle his relationship with Head Coach Tony Popovic where the pair spent time together at Western Sydney before the forward’s move to Europe with Roda JC and later FC Lauzern.

Popovic said he was pleased to be welcoming Juric to the squad as the Club continues working towards the start of the 2022/23 pre-season.

“Tomi has enormous pedigree as a striker and we believe the environment at the Club can bring the best out of him,” said Popovic.

“Tomi’s addition to our attack elevates our quality and increases our options and we have no doubt that he can help us in achieving our goals this season.”

Juric was also looking forward to making the move to Melbourne Victory.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Club and can’t wait to get started,” Juric said.

“Linking up again with Tony Popovic is an exciting prospect for me and with how he helped me earlier in my career, I’m looking forward to again learning from the Boss and getting back to my best for the Victory faithful.

“Melbourne Victory is an ambitious Club and I want to be a part of helping the Club achieve success off the back of a great season for Victory last year. I want to push myself every day and contribute to winning silverware next season.”

Juric is the Club’s third new signing of the 2022/23 pre-season, joining George Timotheou and Noah Smith alongside the re-signings of Rai Marchan, Will Wilson, Leigh Broxham, Matt Spiranovic and Jason Geria.
