Melbourne Victory’s opening 2021/22 fixtures confirmed

Australian Professional League (APL) have revealed the opening six rounds of the A-League and the opening four rounds of the W-League ahead of the 2021/22 seasons.

Tony Popovic’s side will kick-off its season on Saturday 20 November against Western United at GMHBA Stadium, while the reigning W-League Champions will begin its title defence against Adelaide United on Sunday 5 December.

Victory’s first home match at AAMI Park will take place in Round 2 on Sunday 28 November versus Brisbane Roar.

The first Melbourne Derby of the season has been locked in for Round 5, where Melbourne City will host Victory on Saturday 18 December.

Two double-headers at AAMI Park will headline our W-League’s opening home stand with matches against Adelaide and Melbourne City in December as well as an away Melbourne Derby against City on Sunday 12 December. fixtures

“Football is back and we can’t wait to get started,” said Leagues Commissioner Greg O’Rourke.

“We’ve got more football than ever before, with both an expanded finals series and the addition of a new team in the W-League.

“We’ve already seen some incredible young talent coming through the League and on to the Olympics, and with those players now more established, we are going to see even more great football stories.”

With the opening rounds of the season confirmed, the best way to see all of our home matches this season is with a Melbourne Victory Membership.
