Member Recognition Round: Isaac Haber

In the lead-up to our Member Recognition Round game against Wellington Phoenix at AAMI Park this Friday night, we’re featuring stories on some of our most passionate members.

Today, we’re highlighting Victory member Isaac Haber.

How long have you been a Victory member?

Isaac: I’ve been a member for 9 years and a fan since birth.

What is your favourite Melbourne Victory moment?

Isaac: There are many but my favourite is when Victory beat Sydney FC in the Grand final 3-0 in 2015 at AAMI Park. Being there watching the game live was a fantastic experience as it was an electric atmosphere as always.

Watching veteran Leigh Broxham seal the championship with that late goal and to watch the sea of Navy Blue erupt around the stadium was a phenomenal sight.

Why do you support Melbourne Victory?

Isaac: It’s a community which brings family and friends together to enjoy and show their support for the Navy Blue. Fans show their support for Melbourne Victory and Melbourne Victory return the favour in supporting their fans making sure that everyone is included.

If you could be in charge of Melbourne Victory for one day what would you do?

Isaac: I would get to know all the people on and off the field who make this club what it is today and thank them for all their hard work.

I would also look at our Victory youth who are the stars of the future for our club and observe who fits in to our Victory team for seasons to come.

Who is your favourite Victory player and why?

Isaac: Jason Davidson.

The accuracy on his kicks, the attacking mindset during play, and the leadership and communication he has on and off the field not only with his team but also fans is incredible and to top it off the hairdo is the icing on the cake for me.

Who would you like to see playing for Melbourne Victory?

Isaac: I would like to see a player like Valentino Yuel from the Newcastle Jets sign with Victory. Observing Yuel’s playing style as a general fan of football he is brilliant to watch. He has quick footwork and creates that spark in games.

Make sure you get down to AAMI Park this Friday night for our final home game of the season.

Every member who scans in goes into the draw to win 1-of-5 team signed jerseys.
