Melbourne Victory made their return to the NPLW win column on home soil against Preston Lions in Round 13.
After a loss to Alamein ended their winning streak last weekend, the Girls in Blue clearly came out with a point to prove against Preston on Sunday.
Tricky winger, Fiorina Iaria, helped Victory hit the front with a beautiful dribble and left-footed finish in the 22nd minute.
Remaining a goal ahead until the 63rd minute, attacker Jasmine Millar produced a clinical strike to double the lead for Victory, which ultimately proved to be the killer blow.
Adding another three points to their tally, the NPLW newcomers have moved up to seventh on the table heading into Round 14.

Speaking to MelbourneVictory.com.au, NPLW Head Coach, Santi Escudero, couldn’t have been happier to see the team prevail in his final game before departing for an overseas opportunity.
“Throughout the match, we dominated with long spells of possession, working to find spaces to attack between their defensive and midfield lines. We were aggressive and vertical in transitions, especially in the opponent’s half.
“With a strong playing identity and confidence, this group has the tools to compete with ambition and push for the finals.”
