Melbourne Victory’s AAMI Park double-headers return on Saturday when the Women host Western Sydney before the Men battle Newcastle.
Tony Popovic rotated his squad on Wednesday night after the FFA Cup Final, with Jake Brimmer and Marco Rojas starting on the bench, and Matt Spiranovic sitting out.
Victory is expected to again change things up for Saturday’s clash, where Brimmer and Rojas could see larger roles.
Roderick Miranda and Robbie Kruse have been tracking well from their respective injuries and Popovic post-match on Wednesday said they are close to contention for the weekend’s game.
Rai Marchan remains out following facial surgery.
Kyra Cooney-Cross and Courtney Nevin successfully returned to the pitch in Tuesday’s 1-0 Liberty A-League win over Newcastle after returning from Matildas duties.
Catherine Zimmerman also returned to the line-up after missing last game.
