Fresh off a triumphant FFA Cup Final on Saturday, Melbourne Victory’s A-League Men season will resume on Wednesday night in Wollongong against Wellington Phoenix.
Victory escaped the match with a clean bill of health but due to the short turnaround and with another fixture coming up on Saturday against Newcastle at AAMI Park, squad rotations are expected.
Rai Marchan remains out following facial surgery.
The Boss will leave it to the final hour to decide who will back up on Wednesday and who will focus on recovering for Saturday’s clash.
Victory’s Liberty A-League side enter Tuesday night’s clash in Newcastle with star reinforcements as Kyra Cooney-Cross and Courtney Nevin return from Matildas’ Asian Cup duties.
New signing Brooke Hendrix came off the bench late in her debut on Friday night and could feature more prominently in her second outing.
Tiff Eliadis continued her return from injury with her first A-Leagues goal on Friday night.
