MATE will feature on the women’s front-of-shirt for the 2021/22 season, seeing the locally owned telecommunications company continue its strong connection with Australian football. Melbourne Victory star Kyra Cooney-Cross has been named in the Commonwealth Bank Matildas squad to face the Republic of Ireland in a friendly later this month. Cooney-Cross, 19, was included in a 25-player squad named by Head Coach Tony Gustavsson on Wednesday. The Commonwealth Bank Matildas will face the Republic of Ireland at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin on September 22 (AEST).
Football Victoria confirmed today that the 2021 NPL Victoria season has been cancelled for all metropolitan Melbourne competitions, including Melbourne Victory’s NPL3 side and its NPL Junior teams.
